Asides

Matt said in today's Telegraph;

One teddy bear to another "You think you've got problems. My name's Harriet Harman"

And Stephen Harrison said on the letters page;

"So Tony Blair finally found a way to make Tony Blair popular. Replace him with Gordon Brown."

Comment on my blog said;

It looks as if Gordon Brown could become a 'conviction' politician.

Gordon Brown is almost certainly as innocent as he claims. However, I think this results from a policy of plausible deniability - "don't ask, don't tell".

Frank - I think you are being a bit prervious in being certain of anything yet. At least you are only 'almost' certain.

Frankly, Labour has to ditch Brown or it will be brown trousers all round for Labour come next national election.

Christopher - I do think you could be right. Gordon Brown has already changed from 'towering' figure into a rather vulnerable 'cowering' figure. And Cameron's challenge has changed from avoiding being crusher into avoiding appearing to be bullying. Its unprecedented. A few more weeks of this and a change of Leader will become a real issue for Labour.
