What is the world coming to.

I really don't know what some of the more traditional Lib Dems in Montgomeryshire are going to think. I've heard some of them talk about the new Lib Dem leader, Nick Clegg as being a 'good performer' - but little did they know just how good. It seems that he's told GQ magazine that he's slept with 30 women. Wow. Bow Wow even. I can see their General Election slogans now. "The Lib Dems put a smile on your face, and your face, and yours..." or "Its time for a change, and another change, and another...." or "We'll satisfy the many, not the few", etc., etc.. Mr Clegg, is also reported to have told Piers Morgan, who interviewed him that he considers himself a 'competent lover', which is good because we really couldn't have the Lib Dems led by an incompetent lover. Mind you, he has received a few complaints. I wonder what they were about. I think we should told - in the interests of openness and transparency of course.

But the Lib Dem leader has maintained the party's tradition for sitting on the fence. When he was asked how good a lover he judged himself to be, he 's reported to have said "I don't think I'm particularly brilliant or particularly bad." I wonder how he knows, and what benchmark he's used. I don't think I've ever seen such a blatant and crude attempt to appeal to the ladies. It was also a relief to know that the man who wishes to be our Prime Minister told GQ that he hasn't been p***ed since last summer either. But he refused to be drawn on the use of illegal drugs. Must keep a sense of decorum.

I thought that the North Wales Police hiding with their speed cameras in horseboxes on the A55 was the most ridiculous story that I read yesterday, that wasn't an April 1st stunt. But Nick Clegg has taken the biscuit - and all the cream as well.

Glyn instead of allowing the unknown, untested Dr Wood's company an advert, that could be seen to be endorsed by you, due to the fact you keep allowing his company link to be printed, you may well allow the following Post to be published.
It is the name a the leading firm of patent attorneys in the UK.
Be careful of what you are allowing to be posted by overseas persons such as Dr Wood Glynn.

So you bemoan the fact that your comments were hijacked by the lib dems, then do exactly the same the week after. Come on Glyn, you are playing the game like everyone else.

He was HONEST, whats wrong with that?

So David Cameron exact same position on his drug taking past is not acceptable either then?

mungo - happy to oblige. I should say that I don't endorse any thing that is included in a comment - unless its my comment.

southpaw - don't know what you're talking about. Since when have I bemoaned anything. You must be making that up. Can you really not see what an idiot of himself Nick Clegg has made. I've no objection to his refusal to comment on his previous experience of using illegal drugs (if any). I just think he should have told Piers Morgan to mind his own business about his sex life as well.

In the 1976 Presidential campaign Jimmy Carter gave a similar type of interview (to Playboy magazine,I think). He later bitterly regretted having given the interview as it was used against him for years after.Didn't stop him winning though...

several anons - Sorry but I've refused several comments here. I know that I promised to allow all reasonable comment through but I'm concerned that this blog will be regarded as attacking the personal lives of other politicians, which I do not do. Thats for voters to make their own judgements about. But I do agree with penlan that an interview of this sort is plain stupid. Why put his private life onto the pages of every newspaper in the land.

"What is the world coming to."

I know it's April 1st, but I can't believe the BBC would put this article forward as an April 1st joke ... anyway, April 1st is supposed to end at midday ... "UK's first hybrid embryos created"

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/7323298.stm

Either way, I'm totally shocked.

Why? it is up to Mr Clegg to answer how he deems fit, why does someone else have to employ your moral 'standards'?

He told the truth, was is that less commendable then ducking out. I think you are showing your age...

My generation are comfortable talking about sex...
