However I do think the realities of Government will catch up with them, and that it will become increasingly difficult for Plaid to remain as a cohesive party. A lot depends on my party ofering a positive centre/right alternative for those Plaid supporters who could never see themselves as 'socialist'. They took a lot of our Welsh vote and I'd like them back!

By the way, did you watch Caernarfon's 7 - 0 drubbing at the hands of TNS yesterday?Glyn Davieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17344589217554138315noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34112832.post-3027383700887607952007-11-11T15:35:00.000+01:002007-11-11T15:35:00.000+01:00Fair enough points Glyn. Some are finding it very hard to snap out of opposition, knee jerk politics. But as they now talk up positions they would, in all likelihood, have loudly condemned 12 months ago, their vote is under increasing pressure.Martin Eaglestonehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11583850541409297727noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34112832.post-22054236853697733942007-11-11T11:07:00.000+01:002007-11-11T11:07:00.000+01:00Alan - I do not believe that the number of AMs sho...Alan - I do not believe that the number of AMs should be increased until it can be demonstrated that there are not enough to do the job. At present, there are too many Ministers and Deputy Ministers(just to keep two parties in a coalition happy) - and not enough power to justify the increase - which would have to be accompanied by a significant reduction in the number of MPs. At the last election, my party was proposing a reduction from 40 to 26 in the eveny of law making powers being granted to the National Assembly. You, of course, are entitled to disagree with me.

patriot - I do not know what Peter Davies has said but Nick Bourne is the Leader of the Conservative Group in the National Assembly.
