Greater divorce rates and family break-ups, more single occupancies, higher ratio of young people leaving home and yes.... immigration, look I've said it. Thunderbolts of Zeus strike me down! The UK population is growing and they all want places to live. It's a fact, I know. Doesn't mean we should shrug our shoulders and like it. We must strive to have these new homes built as much as possible on brown field sites, to be environmentally sustainable and of good design. We must also look at strengthening the family unit, raising wage levels and building a sustainable economy. However, Labour seem to be keen though to concrete over Britain, fill it full of imported labour and sell us down the river, again. For evil to flourish, it just needs good men to do nothing.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34112832.post-17274934278890711842007-11-09T00:19:00.000+01:002007-11-09T00:19:00.000+01:00Roman - What really irritates me is those who crit...Roman - What really irritates me is those who criticise the extra development without addressing the causes. While we do not encourage families to stay together and allow uncontrolled immigration, there will have to be millions of new house built - and the public services and water availability mean that they cannot all be built in the South East of England. I'm afraid that 2 + 3 = 5, not 4.Glyn Davieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17344589217554138315noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34112832.post-50610489772959040852007-11-08T20:22:00.000+01:002007-11-08T20:22:00.000+01:00I agree.
